Who are our kickoff and punt returners?

I can guarantee patke will mess it up in who the KR and PR’s are. He’ll have them on the sideline. Pope, clarke, knighton, washington all would be electric back there even for being young.

Punt returner? My $$ are on Restrepo. Great hands and short area quickness. Is his judgment as good as Berrios? I’m thinking “yes.”

You are the worst. We had the top punt return unit in the ACC last season. Also our punt return defense was the 2nd best in the P5 in yards allowed per return among teams that defended 20+ punts. Our kickoff teams are another matter. Part of the reason why our kickoff teams have been below average is that we've been severely lacking depth in the defensive back seven (where most of your young special teams studs come from) due to injury. We had four scholarship linebackers and eight defensive backs total available last season. That's not even a full two deep. I swear, once this board decides they don't like a coach or a player it's impossible to break through the wall of ignorance.

Not to derail the thread but I was hoping pope would get a crack at PR last year, especially since he wasn’t doing much for the offense. Clark or Restrepo might be the guy this year. I’d put the Don as one of the KR just because I think he’ll be the 3rd back this year but you still need to get the talent on the field. Im not sure about the other KR spot.

Refresh my fading memory:
When was the last time we had a really good KR, not just an adequate one?

To be honest I don't want to see no freshman back there unless they are 100% flawless. But if I was Diaz I would start recruiting players who do pr and kr on a daily basis bc they taking people who really don't do it all the time fid you a rock and let them take over.

Great Job googling stats Moonman! I'm proud of you leaning how to use google. Im not talking about our punt return defense or Kick off, i was strictly talking about who he has back returning Punts and Kicks. He's had the wrong players receiving punts and kickoffs. My point is he doesn't know how to use his talent. You know why they were short on linebackers? Because he recruits that position, and no one wants to play for a square like Patke. I don't base my opinion on the board, i call a spade a spade and he cant recruit or coach but keep hopping on his nuts.
