Al makes more money than this guy but he's done way more. Team might be one of the best in the country. Would be a smart hire if Butch doesn't happen (might as well prepare to be let down there).

Seems pretty happy at Utah and even turned the job at his alma mater BYU....If he does decides to look elsewhere I'm not sure we can keep up with the bidding war for him.
 
He is a mormon. He has been employed by Utah since 1994. He isn't leaving except to maybe BYU. Find a new name.
 
Lol crap, I forgot Utah is in the Pac-12 now. Only five years late for that. I'm surprised he only makes 2 million.

On a unrelated note, I just saw a tweet from over a year ago that said Miami should hire Tom Herman before he signs a 1.2 million dollar contract with Houston. It's frustrating how many better coaches are making much less than Golden and we still are stuck with this staff

It wasn't because he didn't fit in that Al was unsuccessful. He's just not a good coach. Aside from Butch, Miami doesn't need to go to a retread just because they've coaches here before. Jimmy was from the country but good coaches seem to fit right in.

I've always bought that Whittingham might not come because of the South Florida culture. That makes perfect sense.

But are you willing to admit Whittingham is a beast of a coach, yet ... Or, are you still holding on to the "it was his DC who went to Oregon State who was responsible for their success" position?
