You have to be in the senior class of seniors to remember Whitey. He was a super star during the late 40's. Every kid in the neighborhood parks of Miami new all about Whitey. I was one of them and he was my first football hero. Whitey was also briefly my high school coach. Miami was just a big town then and Cane football was king. Whitey was the most exciting player. Rest in peace Whitey.
