Another article supporting the FACT that the 2001 Miami team was the best ever.

"1. 2001 Miami Hurricanes

Record: 12-0, national champions

Players: Bryant McKinnie, Jeremy Shockey, Ed Reed, Clinton Portis, Phillip Buchanon, Sean Taylor, Jonathan Vilma, D.J. Williams, Antrel Rolle, Vince Wilfork, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, Chris Myers, Andre Johnson

No other team is even in the conversation. The backups on this squad are what make it truly unbelievable. Vince Wilfork, Antrel Rolle, Frank Gore, and Sean Taylor couldn’t even start! Even if you discount the three future Hall of Famers (Reed, Wilfork, and Johnson) and the one who easily would have been (Taylor), you’re looking at 22 trips to the Pro Bowl. As in, 22! It’s the greatest collection of future NFL talent ever collected in one place, and it’s not particularly close."

Oh how the mighty have crumbled under one of if not THE worst administration in College Football.

dey aint walking thru the door...

also that team was full of leaders and had confidence..

the last 10 years no leaders no confidence

He only went back 20 years? Wonder how Vinnie's team that lost to psu rates. Kennedy, Brown, Maryland at DT is a heck of a start. Couple good RBs and some WRs on that team. QB played a couple years in NFL too. Only one I can think of to compare to 2001 Canes.

There's a USC team that belongs in the conversation as well, but it was over 20 years ago.

i think shala was taking notes from hillary clinton considering how close of friends they are. makes total sense. they both are good at destroying things

Fifteen years ago...Most of today's team was 3/4 years old..Doesn't really compute with them...

The only team that can come close to miami in terms of producing talent is 1979 USC. Joey browner, Dennis smith, Ron Lott and Jeff fisher was the secondary and the o-line had 2 hof's in Munoz and Matthews. Marcus Allen was one rb..he ran behind a stacked oline..chip banks and another lb were pretty good. Holy brenner played in a pro bowl as a te. The only part of this team that had more talent than the same position from miami 2001 was the oLine.
