I just think high school recruiting is the foundation. Tech only signed 9 blue chippers and Indiana 7. The portal hauls will continue to diminish as the years go on, and the misses can be big in the portal as we’ve seen with FSU.

I'm not saying Cam Ward clearly can't do it. He was a former number one overall pick. Mensah is better. Mensah is flat out better. Now, Cam Ward's escapability, his just overall playmaking is on a different level than Darien Mensah. So, you have to equate into that. I'm talking about one specific topic. Joe, this kid threw him for over 50 touchdowns the last two seasons.

Even with all of the replacements that Miami is going to have along the offensive line, I don't worry about Mario Crystal on the offensive line at all. Ever. He's going to have a better run, a better run game that he's had than at two lane and Duke. He's going to have a better passing game because of the having Toney having Barkate with him. And I think overall he's just got better dudes and athletes around him. Oh, by the way, he's gonna have a defense, at least a defensive line, whether it be coming out of high school or the portal. I really think that the Damon Wilson pickup that they had is going to be one of the most underrated. Damon Wilson's a really freaking good player. I almost thought that also that he was going to declare for the draft.
