I remember last year on The Herd, Colin said the difference between Miami and Bama was our players went into NFL and dominated. One reason to
be optimistic is because for the first time in a long time, we are fielding kids who look like they can be studs in NFL. Yes, we have had a good amount of
kids drafted in the last decade or so but they haven't made a major impact on the league. I know it was just ST the other day BUT watching lingard, nesta, and a few others along with kids like Garvin and JJ. there are kids in our 17 and 18 recruiting classes that look like they will be making an impact in the NFL and not
just MAKING a roster. I'm excited about that much. We need more depth on our dl and ol and some speed at LB would be nice but our skill players and
db will be stacked over next few years.

Our players are still doing well in the NFL. Even in our lean years, our players have done very well in the NFL.

I think we’ll be back when we are good at all 3 phases of the game; O, D and ST. It seems we have no consistency in that regard. Either our O is good, Def stinks and ST is mediocre. Our ST is good, O is mediocre, Def is cool. Like I can’t think of the last time we’ve been good to great in all 3 phases. Maybe 03?

doing well and leading the numbers of pro bowlers is two different things.

Its because everyone else been getting those impact players now, the landscape changed in recruiting and alot of those kids dont go to UM anymore. We used to put the best players in the league not anymore. Butch was an eval beast and a beast developer so we may never see that again.

We just got annihilated by LSU.

We had better talent but INFERIOR coaching.

Threads like this make me chuckle.

Willis yes, he fell in our lap its not like we beat another school out for him. Hes the type of player I want us to get at every position yearly.

if you look at our d line all the higher ranked guys are playing like their rankings
and all the 3 stars are playing like JAGs

if we don't get an another alpha this year like nesta, next year will be scary once willis is gone very scary esp if jj leaves early too

I have no idea what there class ranks but there athletes looked real good tbh. I know our guys were wide open though that I do know. Im sure they recruit top 10 classes every year as well

Good luck cause DL recruiting dont look too good right now

uh really? LSU has a load of 4 and 5 stars. their athletes are on par with anyone. we should have beaten them but its not like they lack talent

Keep telling yourself that.

Their athletes are not on par with "anyone".

Wrong. LSU is just as talented, if not more. Problem is, Miami was AWFUL at QB and compounded that by being AWFUL at Punter, which gave LSU short fields.

Saying Miami had better talent after watching what 12 did in that game is laughable.

Outside of QB yes.

The point of the post everyone is having issues with is talent is not our issue. It is coaching.

Richt will keep rolling out 12 instead of putting in a young guy and completely waste a year.

Ok

Keeping rolling with that broad all inclusive statement.
Go to all there defensive players and get every ranking of there kids, im dead serious cause i dont know but they looked like good players that day unless we suck that bad

I know they had the 2 best defensive players in the game, and defense is supposedly our strength. So yes, I'd say their talent was at absolute worst, comparable.

But you said we had better talent. Maybe you're right, maybe you're not, but at the most important position in all of sports, we had god awful talent. Aka zero talent. So the rest really doesn't matter. It's not coaching. It's ****** QB play combined with a soft OL. Again, not coaching in the gameday, X's and O's sense.

Forget the high school kids for now. JUCO and Grad Transfers is what I want to see.

If it’s too late to get the Nesta’s then Miami needs to load up on the Tito’s.

yea looking into the future
we gonna roll next year with nests,

if you go buy 247 composite rankings their roster is actually better than ours

Devin White and Greedy Williams will be picked higher than anyone on our defense.

But even further, those kids don't matchup with our defense, so if you want to really compare talent, they're going to both be picked WAY higher than anyone on our offense.
