When should Jarren get pulled against UVA?

My take:
  • If he throws an INT before scoring, he should be pulled.
  • If he goes the entire 1st quarter without putting up any points (even a FG would be acceptable, although, I don't know who'd kick it)
  • If he takes 3 sacks and they are avoidable, but he is simply holding on to the ball too long.
  • If the team clearly is lackluster.

And, if he is pulled and Kosi comes in and performs well, then that should be all she wrote. I can take Kosi throwing 1-2 INT's a game, if he's putting up big numbers, putting points on the board and sparking the team.

Perry did some nice things no doubt. But why are we so quick to forget all the good things Jarren has done leading up to the game? Something was clearly not right with him after that first INT. Let them battle it out this week and play the best man. Simple as that....

Before kickoff.

Benching the kid that just hung 422 and 4 in 2.5 quarters makes no sense.

40 and 1 were on a hail mary. He also threw a completely outrageous and egregious pick that should have ended the game officially but VT's defensive captain decided to be an idiot and rough him. Perry made some nice throws. He's not a good QB, and makes very poor decisions with the football. It's the reason Williams won the job in the first place.

Jarren has done some things, but the team clearly sparked under Kosi. Say what you will about Enos as a playcaller, but he is an unquestioned QB whisperer. I really do think it should be Kosi going forward with Enos coaching him up.

Consider this - one of the top two playmakers on the team had ZERO TD's and not many touches until Kosi got in there and then he gets 2.

If we didn't have a good QB coach, I might stick with JW, but with Enos, I really do think it should be Kosi. Manny better think long and hard about this, because this one decision could determine his employment and career for the foreseeable future.

What good things has Jarren done before the VTech disaster after a bye week?? He was trash against Central Michigan, average against Bethune Cookman, and below average against Florida and UNC.... he did win player of the game for being a below average QB though.

If Jarren gets yanked, I'd rather see Tate than Perry.

We did the merry-go-round thing last year. Pick a guy and stick with it + build the offense around him. Personally I think spreading it out with Perry is the best option.

Let Jarren go out and hand it off just to keep his confidence. If his shoulder is sore, his recovery is more important.
