What makes me scream at the TV? Short yardage plays!

Every time we need a couple of yards and we run out of the shotgun I want to grab Coley by the neck and squeeze the life out of him. Has he never heard of a "jumbo package" or using a fullback do make a path for your tailback? Do we even have a goal line package??? I have never seen a Miami team run out of the shotgun on EVERY F*&^%@ PLAY! Can someone smarter then me explain what advantage he thinks he is getting by not have any smash mouth plays for the guys to run?

We can't get push up front. We don't have what's necessary to run it right at the defense, so we have to try and create space for Yearby to maneuver and make someone miss.
 
Well, maybe if they had Gadbois on the line, they wouldn't need to line up in the shotgun every down.
 
Hey ..Tucker got a short yardage carry yesterday and converted. Frankly, this team seems to always be in 3rd and long so the opportunities are rare. What's weird is that they seem to have no problem getting (only) 1 or 2 yards on 1st or 2nd down runs....why cant they do it on 3rd?

I feel EXACTLY the same. This alone makes me want to get rid of Coley. It shows no confidence in your Oline, but makes the 3rd and short even harder. I wish Kehoe would confront him on the sidelines!
 
Sure need Gus... but would like to see them use Tucker more in these situations. Or Chocolate.
 
Its been the same problem for many years now.

I have to guess that its a hole in Art Kehoe's coaching system.
 
Gus for sure converts these a little more frequently...That being said I saw the Fullback Trap Play used 3 times while channel hopping between games yesterday...Each went for 9/10 yards and one for 23...Tucker is a lot faster than the other players who ran the ball in those plays..
