What I See: Ohio State Edition

No wonder Igbignosun gets away with so much holding\pass interferences. He'd be bludgeoned to death by flags if he we're playing in the ACC. Our refs favorite color is yellow.
He was the most penalized defensive player in college football last year. Before the CFP, they actually made him practice wearing mittens so he would be less grabby (he's still grabby, but marginally cleaner this year).

According to this site, none of top-10 least penalized teams are B1G schools, but 8 of the 10 most penalized teams are conference members (Ohio State is #13).

Having said that, lots of B1G fans have been complaining for a couple of years that they seem to have stopped calling holding, including when defensive lineman get straight up tackled from behind. As of early November, none of Ohio State's B1G opponents had gotten an offensive holding flag for over 2 years. (Ohio State ranks 134 out of 136 in penalties called on opponents.)
You've got it backwards my man.

"Opponents Penalties". The lower the number, the fewer the penalties called.
Look at the bottom of the list at the site you gave me. Take out the G5 schools and they're all sitting right there.
Kansas State is the only non-BIG school breaking up the least penalized BIG party.

The holding thing is exactly what we complain about too. 2 years is crazy, i think we had over 1 year recently....it's absurd.

Same here. Just read the numbers.
OSU- 4.3 penalties per game.
That's 13th BEST in the country.

You are right about most/least penalized schools. I looked at the College FB Team Penalties per Game list and assumed #1 would be "most penalized" without actually looking at the stat itself.

Well, this helps explain how Ohio State is #134 in penalties called on opponents. Maybe B1G will rebrand as Wild West.

Let 'em play.
I'm OK with less penalties as long as the distribution is equitable.

See, this is why I think he presents opportunities for our offense to move the chains. Challenge him deep and he will start grabbing..
