Purgatory is the bridge between being allowed to participate on CIS with full privileges and being tossed off CIS into the abyss.
If you have been sent here, there are no doors or windows out. The only way out and back on to the rest of the board is through demonstrated good behavior here, a challenge for each of you as your behavior is what landed you here in the first place.
You are here to serve time and try to reform for re-admittance back on to the remainder of the board.
Currently, you no longer have privileges to:
- Post anything on the rest of the board;
- Post reactions on the rest of the board; or
- DM anyone on CIS.
You can start threads in Purgatory and post and participate here. The same red lines which apply on the rest of CIS, primarily bigotry, or any behavior we determine to be damaging to the sanctity of CIS’ good name, will not be tolerated and will result in your immediate termination from CIS.
At any time we decide you’ve gone too far and/or are not redeemable, you will similarly be terminated from CIS… or we might just let you stay here. It is up to you to decide your fate on CIS.
Any requests for release need to be made here in an open confessional request in the thread entitled “Inday’s Outhouse” which is stickied to the top of Purgatory. The frequency of requests is limited by poster to no more than once per month. There is no minimum or maximum sentence in terms of service and release. Unlike a temporary board ban, there isn’t necessarily an expiration date.
The rest of the board does have access to Purgatory and can post here freely. There are these opportunities to interact with the remainder of the board and demonstrate your commitment to reform in order to reintegrate back into the CIS mainstream.
The choice is yours as to where you go.
