Takeaways:

Well, once again Miami found a way to lose a game they should not have. Seems to be the recurring theme, no? Once again, the offense faltered, and now ranks a pitiful 54th in yards per play, and more importantly, 94th in points per game. The offense does provide some explosive plays, but again, another Saturday tells the same old story. Too many negative plays, too many missed opportunities, too many empty red-zone trips and Jesus Christ almighty, too many missed kicks. The offensive and special teams performance on Saturday was on par with a high school team. Dropped passes, total ineptitude, and a kicking game that isn't even close to as good as something you'd find at St Thomas, never mind an FBS school. Enos, the offensive line, and quarterbacks have been a massive disappointment. Really, the only good thing you can say about the entire offense is Brevin Jordan, KJ Osborn, and the backs are all really good football players. Outside of that, this entire offense is a puddle of diarrhea, from the staff on down. Incredibly disappointing that this is what we get after 7 weeks with the collection of on paper talent we have.

The defensive rankings stayed about the same, as the numbers GT put up were about on par with what Miami has been giving up this year. However, the defense really only gave up 7 points in regulation. Perry and the OL coughed up 7, and DJ Ivey's narcolepsy gifted them another 7 points. If you take out the fake punt, which is officially a pass play and goes against the defense, GT only averaged 4.77 YPP. The most disappointing part about the defense is they seem to not be able to get stops when they're really needed. They've been pretty good in the middle of games, but in the beginning, and more importantly the 4th quarter, they've struggled. So overall the numbers look good....not elite, not as good as they have, but good enough to be better than 3-4. But the offense and special teams have not held up their end of the bargain.

And the special teams.....good lord. What a comedy show. There's not much more to say than what's already been said ad nauseum, but the kicking game is BY FAR the worst I've seen in my 30 years of following the program closely. It's insane....last year, the punting was the worst we've ever had. Now, Hedley is a Groza award candidate, and the field goal kicking is the worst I've ever seen. What's especially frustrating, is that although Miami is by no means a good team, if you put a B+ kicker on this team, they're probably 6-1. Baxa and the 12 year old we rolled out there whose nuts haven't dropped yet have been the biggest disaster that I can remember. Where the **** do we go from here?

In other words, it makes you want to puke

These offensive numbers have been dropping significantly the last 2 weeks

Yep. Average or worse in just about every statistical category on that side, and in several cases amongst the worst in the entire country.

We're approaching Mark Richt 2018 levels of ineptitude here. Which we said all year, "if we can just be better on offense, but literally how could we be worse?" Well, we're getting close.....

Few plays away from 7-0 and a few plays away from 1-6.

We are what our record says we are. 3-4

Throw the rest of the stats away before Manny sees. He's an excuse machine.
