- Miami plays as fast as anyone I’ve seen on defense. I’m sure about 40 yard dash times but no one gets to the ball as fast as us. Saban talked on game day about how we always wanted his defense to attack the ball carrier in the open field instead of breaking down and trying to tackle. Miami attacks the ball carrier with intent.
- If teams continue to stack the box and slow down the run game, it won’t hurt the offensive production but it can hurt the defense because they’ll be out on the field more and we’ll have to substitute more. We won’t dominate time of possession as much.
- We haven’t come close to playing our best football yet. The last two games we basically have had touchdowns taken off by either a lazy penalty or bad whistle. As the season goes on and we clean up the little mistakes we’re going to be tough.
- Malachi- best comparison I heard was Davonta. Smith. He never looks like he's running that fast but no one is catching him. I wonder what his Next Gen Stats top speed is during a game. He’s a magician out there.
- Jacoby Thomas- Todd McShay compared him to Harold Perkins the way he's all over the field.His host compared him to Suntarine Perkins of Ole Miss. Different positions but similar roles.
- Can we somehow get Bryce Fitzgerald some snaps on offense. He's so dynamic with the ball in his hands. Or at least returning punts with Malachi.
