Stanford over #17 UCF
I like that Stanford defense and their starting QB K.J Costello returning for this game.

Houston over the pirate and #20 Washington State.

As much respect as I have for the Pirate they have not faced a team with a good defense. Note to doubters: Mark D'nofrio is no longer @Houston so you can pump the brakes. Last but not least, Dana Holgerson is underappreciated as an offensive coach.

Arizona State over #18 Michigan State.
I like Arizona's freshman QB and Michigan States offense is way too inconsistent for me to see them as heavy favorites here. This one I had to really do my homework because people will probably say im crazy but Arizona State actually has the more talented roster.

Oh, God. The Stanford tree.

The NCAA should pass a rule that Stanford has to start every game down 12-0 until they get rid of their tree mascot.
 
I can’t get with the ASU pick. Michigan State Defense is LIKE THAT.

After watching the USC game I’m cool off Stanford too. Even with Costello back. UCF got the longest 30+ point streak in the country on offense. I see no reason why it will stop right now. They are on fire.

Washington might get upset again.

I strongly considered Hawaii over Washington but I don't think they loose at home.

Bowling Green, Iowa state, Col. State, Kansas State, Houston.

Would not bet ASU roster over home Sparty if my life depended on it. But that is just my opinion.

That offense is very inconsistent and believe it or not ASU's roster has a better composite score than MSU. Also, Michigan State has faced two cupcake opponents so their defensive stats go out the window for me. Last year ASU beat MSU @ASU, I know @MSU is a complete different monster but we will see. Just like I said last week I could very well be 0-3 with these picks but I chose these 3 as the most likely.
