Obviously, Miami didn't play last week. But a lot of other teams played tough games, so there was some movement in the overall season numbers.

As always, only games vs FBS teams are factored in these numbers.

Rushing yards per attempt: 112th (3.49 YPA)
Sacks given up per game: 125th (4 per game)

Defense:

Yards per play allowed: 19th (4.94 YPP)
Points per game allowed: 24th (21.3 PPG)
Passing yards per game allowed: 53rd (220.3 YPG)
Passing completion percentage allowed: 38th (57.9%)
Passing yards per attempt: 57th (7.3 YPA)
Passer rating allowed: 41st (126.82)
Rushing yards per game allowed: 17th (109.67 YPG)

Time of possession: 73rd (29:32 per game)

Advanced metrics:

Overall SP+: 25th
Offensive SP+: 57th
Defensive SP+: 14th
Special Teams SP+: 81st
Sagarin Ranking: 29th
Massey Rankings: 36th

Takeaways:

Again, not too much movement here due to not playing. There are 2 huge "stat padding" games upcoming in the next 2 weeks. FIU's defense is 74th in YPP allowed, Duke's is 47th. FIU is 60th in scoring defense, Duke is 85th. FIU is 108th in sacks, Duke is 51st. Bottom line, these are both average to bad defenses. Miami *should* be able to have their way with both teams. Anything less than 30 offensive points against either is simply unacceptable. But when you're 100th or worse nationally in 7 different offensive categories, not even including FG and PAT kicking, I can see where people might have hesitation thinking the offense is going to explode. But if we continue progressing as we have been, neither of the next 2 defenses we see should put up too much resistance.

Nothing much more to say, let's see where we stand after playing another Go5 team this Saturday. I would like to see 150+ rushing yards (FIU is 111th in rushing yards allowed per game), 1 or less turnover, 1 or less sack allowed, and 30+ points with a YPP at or near 6.5 a clip. Everyone should feast on Saturday. I will take 34-13, good guys.

Sometimes stats can be bullsh!t, but one look at those and it's easy to tell why we're 6-4, what an awful season

Any chance you can pull up the stats since Ga Tech?

Curious what those look like

Perhaps a juxtaposition between the first and second half of the year when these two games are over is better.
