Definitely, Montana just beat Washington some odd years back.

South Dakota state is legit but their counterpart moved up to fbs & I imagine SDS will join them by the end of the decade. I feel like FCS x G6 games are kosher.

My point is HBCUs and otherwise, if these one-off games are so important to the whole operations then maybe the operations need to be reevaluated? I don’t think it’s safe + good for anybody if mercy rules have to take effect; and it’s boring for the masses imo. I fully admit my position is selfish lol.

But if Indiana can beat Illinois by fifty-three points, what good does it do Illinois or their opponent, western Illinois, to start the year off w/ a 51 point victory? Kinda wish these matchups were a second sanctioned spring game.

I don’t think there’s any momentum for my argument so I’m just a young man yelling at the cloud; but it’s faintly possible this will be the next universalization tackled by the p4 after the playoffs expand.

The B1G is aligning their policies with the rest of the p4 who have all already adopted 1 mandatory p4 ooc required. They Machiavellian held out adopting it until the SEC was ready to adopt a 24 team playoff.

So schools will have to adjust whether it’s better to go FCS + G6, or just two G6 matchups. Some schools aren’t afraid of the smoke and choose 11 p4 games.
 
It may have been posted but the ACC starting 1-5 in non conference games is not great for us. This league just never can get it together.
