Beating Bama was always a reach. But, to have the game decided in the 1st quarter is an embarrassment. I kept hearing that Miami has a veteran OL. Didn't look that way. And, it isn't just yesterday's game that is such a let down. Miami was hyped against LSU in a nationally televised opener several years ago, and laid an egg. Should have beat Florida in a nationally televised opener, but blew it. The recent record in bowl games provides more disappointment on the national stage. The only bowl win that I remember in the last 10 years was against West Virginia.
If the team had just covered the spread against Alabama, it could move on with its head high. Instead, teams that Miami should beat will not feel intimidated. They will believe that Miami is beatable, which it is until it proves otherwise.
If there is something positive about yesterday, it is that UNC lost to VaTech.
