Somebody start the go fundme. Seriously. Kelly, Dantonio, Miles, Moffit, i dont care. Lets get it out to all the former player and fans and see what we can raise and who we can get. If espn gets ahold of it, that puts a lot of pressure on administration to make a splash hire. This year is the year my friends. Donna is gone. The fans cant take no more. Dominance is on its way back VERY soon. Start the go fundme. Lets make it happen.
 
If the right coach is out there, you wait as long as needed. Chip would be a home run.
I have my doubts that the people running the show could put together an attractive enough deal to pull him from the NFL or another P5 school with unlimited resources.
 
He would be great on offense as always but I have serious questions about whether he can put together a competent defense. I guess down here he could literally fall into a great defense with the south Florida athletes as long as no'd or al golden aren't coaching them.

Chip would be a great hire, but truly great hires don't come here because our administration is full of rich cheapskates with no vision for the future of the program.
 
If you wouldn't welcome Chip Kelly to Miami with a parade, you should stop following football.
 
This is the sort of splash hire UM needs to make instead of searching coaching garbage heaps. Put together a monster package, and they'll make their money back the first year in ticket sales, donations and merchandise sales. The U brand would take off like never before. People would be excited and excitement equals money.

If you don't realize the sort of impact Chip would make here, then chase a handful of sleeping pills with a cup of Prestone.
 
Anything is reasonable, it would take brains and money to get him here, if I felt he was a realistic candidate, he would be my #1 option hands down. The college world would be terrified and I bet Nike would try to discourage him from coming here.
 
Chip is def going to Tennessee if fired. There shouldn't be a doubt in anyone's mind. Titans got more than enough money to throw the bank at him too. It's a given they want a coach to tutor and mold mariota. There going to go after chip hard.

Raise enough money to entice a big-time coach away?

Kelly would make a splash and win bunch of games. His weakness is defense. The problem is the our local talent gives us our biggest advantage on defense. Good defense is harder to get than splashy offense. Chip's offense is designed to cover up shortage of talent. I doubt his offense will be any better here than at OR. Unfortunately, I doubt he will take advantage of the edge our talent can give to defense. He will win a loit of games but still come up short on NCs.
