and brought in crawford to play the slot WR Switzer.... Where has this been all my life?

A. Crawford showed out yesterday.

Eh, I'd like it better if he NEVER played outside. Feel like he should strictly play the slot, because he's pretty bad with the ball in the air. Excellent tackler though.

Thought he played his best game as a Cane. He was in Switzers pocket all day. So much so that the announcers named DALLAS Crawford as their "Mr. Versatile" or whatever because they confused the two. But I agree that manning the slot fits him perfectly.

Not new. Our predominant coverage for pass downs is man. In fact my perception has been that we've played more ZONE lately on third and long. We used to be a very predictable man team in that circumstance.

Lets just hope Donofrio doesn't revert to playing conservative the rest of the season. These last 2 games have shown what happens when we play agressive, and even then the DLine is still playing catch with the OL. Donofrio is finally realizing what everyone has known since Jimmy Johnson....That Miami plays Agressive D, and does it well.

The geniuses around here for some reason believe that "off" means zone.

No not true... most of the time when you see a WR coming across th emiddle there is nobody on him...WE did that **** again second half WR running across the middle and nobody following him. Playing 10 yards off the WR is basically a zone in my book. I meant press coverage if you wanna be specific

The two freaking problems we have been having was playing too soft, whether that be in man or zone....and bigger yet, not matching personnel. Such as playing base D against 3 and 4 wide. Resulted in McCord and Armbrister covering WR more than a little bit. I don't too much care about man or zonze, what I care about is playing off coverage when the offense needs 5 yards or less. And having our players in unwinnable matchups pre snap. Its no genius to see what the problems were, we have numerous screen shots of it. So of u AL gozzlers want to keep saying we have been doing that same thing, you're more than welcome but its all fiction in the attempt to maintain you were right

Agreed... a soft man is basicaly a zone..If your gonna go man dont ***** around with it... go man

saw a lot of zone actually.. wr would start on burns side and run a drag and burns would let him go and LBs would tackle him before line to gain

We blitzed a lot. 5 man pressures means either zone blitz or m2m with a free safety. It's what we should always do. Pressuring a QB helps your coverage; this is a basic football truth.

You are saying that our predominant coverage on 3rd and long is zone? If so, I disagree.

Bringing in crawford to play the slot is a big change. Golden and donofrio have been so rigid sticking with the base d regardless of the opposing offense. And that's how we end up with Trent Harris covering the slot.
