Perhaps it was because he didn't have leg for it, but we allowed some huge returns against us on kickoffs last year and it looked like we would pop it up far short of the end zone to maybe stop them before they reached the 20 or something, but I would be happy if we just boomed it out of the end zone every time. That would eliminate part of our ST's risk.

Funny how things go, but our "reject" FG kicker could end up being a strength for us. Too early to say just yet, but he made clutch long FG's when the nation was watching. Totally sews up the most vulnerable part of the team.

But let’s not forgot we intentionally pinned them on one kickoff. Our guys filled all the gaps and easily took down the kick returner on the 15 yard line. That’s 10 yards saved.

To be honest I would have been elated with #38 just handling the Kick off's into the end zone....
