Aside from the fact that we have established we need a new OC It would help to have some Seniors step up. Its where we miss Ahmmon this year.

I miss self-aware, alpha coaches... you know, the attitude we all appreciate being Canes.

Agree that Braxton and Herndon made plays when we needed them. Mentally and physically tough. Don’t have that offensive leadership right now.

Our offense wasn't much better last year, which is why every game was a battle. Braxton was a beast for us. It's weird that Richt actually used him more than he's used Thomas this year and Thomas is the superior talent.

Braxton's personality was twice the size of his body. He was in large part the face of the program last year. It sounds like Jaquan Johnson and DJ have stepped up in the locker room and at practice. I bet more will this week - we may not hear about it but I bet it happens.

Did anyone else listen to the podcast q&A session last night with DJ Williams from OTH? he talked about the game and the whole QB controversy. He had some interesting thoughts and takes on the situation.

In a nutshell - he thinks the players need to have a players only meeting so the defense and offense can air any feelings and get on the same page NOW. This nips in the bud any resentment that may build over the defense carrying so much of the load.

He said that his take on the way CMR has handled Perry- including pulling him last week- indicates to him that Perry isn't "the guy" in Richt's mind going forward. He is more of a stopgap measure. If he was going to be the guy he would have put him back in or left him to work it out.

Just his take. He did say he had spoken to a few other alumni and current players about the loss. We know they are all close with the linemen. I think they are a good resource right now. He didn't claim to have any insider info. He took some phone calls and had discussion and expressed his opinion.

Not sure what player leadership would do in this situation. We haven’t seen players quit.

Nope the issue goes beyond just personnel, richt isnt putting us in the best situation to win on offense right now within the schematics of his plays and what he calls

Wouldn’t be opposed to a players only meeting to get their minds right during the bye week and end the season on a 5 game win streak. Def see an open competition in the off season between Williams and Perry. Weldon may stick around barring another suspension but he will probably finish third in the race and transfer out which is why they need a qb this cycle.
