From manny Diaz wqam interview earlier today per itu. He also praised the lines run blocking at the scrimmage and seems to have confidence in the group

The offensive line will be a position group to monitor in the season opener against Florida, but Diaz believes UM can do some things schematically to help that group out. “This game does not operate in vacuums…Everything works in concert with each other,” Diaz said. “Whether that is the way that we call plays or scheme things up or get the ball out, everything has a place and everything works hand in hand.”

We’ve had a good defensive line practicing with our O-line for the last few years, that hasn’t translated to the offensive line being better. What exactly has changed? Like OP said, we have a TF at LT... I’m not fooling myself into thinking that the offensive line will have made monumental improvements, but I will hope for incremental improvements, packaged with a change in offensive strategy taking the pressure off.

I expect mistakes, and will have to roll with the punches because despite all the fan banter, this Gator defense will be the best D we play all year. If JW plays even half way decently, we’re in for a special season. Not trying to give him an excuse, just pointing out facts.

I am confident our coaches are well aware of our weak links. Unlike last year I am sure our coaches will run schemes to help these weak links. Admittedly the
OL is not a well oiled machine yet but I love their potential this season under this coaching staff.
