we had better teams on probation

we arent on probation?. I couldve sworn we operate under the 85 schollys limit. schitshow

The '96 and '98 teams had plenty of solid starters, they just wilted in the latter stages against the better teams. That and Bortch had some gameday corching episodes (ECU '96, VT, Cuse '98).

I think someone forgot that ECU had a real good run - and one of the years they beat us - they also beat USC - and back then - Syracuse was putting up some real numbers as well - they gave us fits for three or four years!

But don't let ancillary facts prevent you from your suggestion.

The best Syracuse team to play us was 1992 by far. None of McNabb's teams (95-98) matched that outfit in talent or performance. We lost 31-6 in 1996 to ECU at home and the team was lifeless and unprepared.

And yeah, ECU's 99 team beat the 0-11 USCe Gamecocks.

You are a football genius.

96-98 was when we lost the 31 scholarships - and very few recruits wanted to come to UM anyway.

ECU had a really good QB, and ECU did better against South Carolina than #4 Florida did.

And Syracuse was winning 8-9 games per year - and as I said - they gave us fits - and some other teams too.

Oh, and thanks! I'm not a proctologist - but I recognize an ******* when I see one.
