I was really looking to see how we look physically against Notre Dame. They’re very talented. Well coached team and we pushed them around for the most part. There aren’t many teams in the country on their level and that defense is excellent. Our young receivers had some struggles but they also came through in a great way.
We got a lot to build on with this team, but the potential is through the roof. We get those young receivers up to par and a little better in run defense, we can make a run at the title, no bull****.
Honestly man, the biggest thing against us sadly to say is the coaching man. That clock management was bad and taking our foot off the gas and letting them hang around like that won’t get us where we want to go. We can’t be playing scared like that in the third quarter and early fourth quarter. We let them back in it with a chance to do something miraculous at the end of the game. We shouldn’t be doing that, building these guys confidence. But when we sic the dogs on Carr, it was all over with once they had to throw the ball.
We got to get better in the run game, but we were decent against a talented and well coached team. The rain really made the game a lot closer than it should have been. Looking at the other top teams, there is no one out there to fear. Keep getting better, we can be the dark horse.
Really like the way Mario had the prepared, but I want this to be a National title game season, not capped at his Pac 12 championship level.
