As a lightning fan I congratulate you. I hate you but that was an impressive team. I've never seen lockdown defense like that. Great team.

The Stanley Cup is the coolest trophy of all the professional trophy's.

There are actually three Stanley Cups: the original bowl of the "Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup", the authenticated "Presentation Cup", and the spelling-corrected "Permanent Cup" on display at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Every 13 years when the bottom band of the Stanley Cup is filled with names of champions, the top band is removed and retired to be displayed in the vault of the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The four bands below it are slid up one place and a new blank band added to the bottom. The first winning team engraved on the newest band is thus, in theory (see Engraving section below), displayed on the trophy for the next 65 years.

I was a hockey kid growing up and followed the Panthers loyally from their inaugural season. Loved their run in '96 but this team is wayyyy more talented. They're so fun to watch. No weaknesses really. they could win the whole **** thing again next year. Reinhart and Tkachuk weren't even close to 100% and still dominated. Marchand is ageless.

Its no "Porster of the Year" on CIS, but cool nonetheless.
