Sure some can already start ****ing in my corn flakes..

Now to those that have seen it all with UM. 35 year fan here, and yes I do donate to walk the walk.

This year will be 99 again. Yes, I am watching the U part 2 right now, and see the camping highlights. But it's actually going to happen finally for UM again.

Now I don't know if we get a NC. But Richt will get us light years ahead again. Top 15 maybe even 10, but really solid. Meaning finishing at say number 9 maybe better. Not our goal, but at least we will be in the F'n conversation.

The only thing I know is that Richt is a **** of a lot better than Golden and I believe Golden was the problem.

Richt knows how to run a program...

He's a quality fellow and an alum - hope he gets some championships for us.....

I think he will because the door is closing for the out-of-state programs filching top talent from south Florida

I concur! Most of these top SoFl, Fl and SoGa kids would have never committed to that last idiot.

No!! We are going to destroy FSU (+14 point win) and ***** slap some sense into their delusional fan base.

They have no idea how shalala and her merry men of incompetent coaches crippled our program.

Yeah it was Shalala for sure. I mean, after she left we were on the verge of hiring Greg Schiano before Richt fell into our lap.

The final four candidates were Richt, Davis, Schiano and Mullen.

That is a solid final four and I've read nothing about the job being Schiano's if Richt said no.

Give the administration credit for going after who they wanted and providing the necessary resources.

The administration also included ex football players on the search committee in order to get the right coach.

No way Shalala signs up to pay a football coach $4MM and increase assistant pay.

If only there were better options than Shannon and Golden when UM was looking for a HC.

Jimmy Johnson was recommending Gary Patterson, but what does Jimmy know about football.

I am sure all the Shalala lovers will agree that radio was a better choice.

There was also a guy named Dan Mullen who was a finalist but we went with Golden.

Shalala swung and missed twice on HC hires when she had a much better, proven option.

Not falling for it.

If win 11 regular games, we're on the Verge.

10 wins, with 2 very competitive losses to very good teams is the minimum.

I hope we're on the verge of being back. I am going to try to enjoy this, and, unless, we get Clemsoned every week, I am going to find a way to enjoy this.

Richt is going to do great things with this program, but it may take a few years for him to get all the pieces in place. Hope our fans are patient. Think we can do very well this year IF we stay healthy. As a result of numbnuts Golden and his gang of incompetents, we don't have much depth. Conditioning seems to be way better than under Swasey, so hopefully the guys are in good shape.

So our final 3 before Richt were Davis (who everyone KNEW we were not going to hire), Mullen (who was incredibly disliked during his last interview) and Schiano. It was between Mullen and Schiano, and while Mullen would've been the better pick, I think it's fair to say it wasn't a slam dunk choice.

Our resources are the highest they've ever been in athletics. Fundraising at an all time high in the university and TV deals that were unheard of at the time we hired the previous 3 coaches.

Question for you - who hires the football coaches? Did Eichorst recommend hiring Mullen or did he recommend Golden? And look further at what Eichorst did at Nebraska. Firing Pelini for Riley? Shalala was a delegator, perhaps to a fault. Shalala would've hired Barry Alvarez instead of Coker if she had the choice and this would all be a moot point.

Until Miami beats Florida state, the U ain't back. October 8th in sun life is the perfect opportunity.

Some of you have the bar way too low. We'll beat FSU. **** we almost beat them with a limp d*ck coach and staff. Getting to the ship and winning it is always why we play the game.

Golden wasn't the problem, he was a symptom. The problem was the University of Miami hiring cheap coach after cheap coach. But I agree, Richt is a monumental upgrade over Golden, or any other coach we've had since Butch Davis.

That's exactly how I feel. Jimbo isn't all that at HC, and has been more than a little fortunate Miami had been so cheap for so long. There's a reason he never wanted Golden fired. He'll face a completely different Miami team than he's ever seen this season. I think we not only beat FSU, but pound them.
