Way too early look at potential 2018 Roster

both our dts aren't going the 1st few rounds. how many times does a team lose 2 jr dts and they both go in the 1st 2 rounds.

Did Kaaya and Yearby go in the first 2 rounds? Didn't stop them (any many others) from leaving early.

And does anyone out there consider those good decisions? Those are the exact horror story examples that help get others to stay

Yeah, well, we're still waiting for that lesson to sink in with some of these guys. Hopefully the current players on the roster finally get it. We'll find out at the end of the season...

Move Carter to LB PLEASE. We need his toughness at LB in terms of hard hitting and physically at LB. Carter is a great tackle and a thumper. Replace McCloud with Carter. We need to run more of a 4-2-5 scheme. I've given up on McCloud tbh. He didn't impress me last year as a Fr. (I didn't understand the love affair for him when he started all year and only had like 30 tackles) maybe I'm overreacting but McCloud's job need to be up for competition right now but I don't think Perry, Owens, or Smith can beat him out. If we close with the DB we have committed put Finley and Carter at LB because they will be to slow compared to Hall, Jobe, Frierson etc to play DB on this team.

McCloud according to sports-preference is 14th on the team in tackles with JUST 14 total tackles and he has started every game this year. What is worse is I've probably seen him miss about that many tackles to.
Did you see Carter on the wrong end of the hit stick by Cuse's 185 rb this past weekend... Zach will be fine... playing on Sundays

I did. Carter brings the lumber and I really like his potential, but he ain't got the power to be in that box on every play.

b - FSU will be the acc favorite next year for everyone outside our fan base. We are not there yet.

Why? Because Francois will return? They are likely to lose anywhere from 6-8 defensive starters, depending on how many guys bail. Their OL returns 4 starters who are very average. Their best WR is as likely to leave as he is to stay.

We'll likely return 7 (arguably 8 because of all the snaps Mahoney/Gaynor are getting) offensive starters. We'll return between 6-8 starters on defense and replace Chad Thomas with the deepest DE unit in college football. If Norton or Mcintosh stay, Willis returns or we pull a JuCo DT, they should be very concerned coming to our home field.
Because as far as the rest of the country is concerned - hence my statement "outside of miami fans" - FSU has out recruited us for the entire duration of the current roster, with the possible exception of next years true freshmans class.

They are currently in re load, not re build. Guys leaving may not mean their team gets worse. This is the benefit of perennial top 5 recruiting classes.

And yes, Francois going down probably costs them more than a game or two this year, maybe our own but that is an unknown.
If a few guys decide to bolt together, I think they're in trouble. For all their recruiting class rankings, they forgot to load up on quality OL.

Why wouldn't they potentially bolt? FSU is 2-4 with road games at Clemson and Florida. They are no slam dunk against BC on the road or Syracuse at home. Hey, at least they have Delaware State coming in.
