Was this ND loss as bad as Al's 2011 loss vs BC?

Golden lost at home to 3-8 BC to cap the 2011 season. That BC team had lost by 27 points to a UCF team that was 5-7 in CUSA. Golden had also provided 2-10 Maryland with their only win over an FBS team in the season opener, but it wasn't clear at the time how bad Maryland was. Was this ND loss as embarrassing as 2011 BC?

Not only were both performances similar in their atrociousness..

The Sunshine Brigade is back and making the exact same post-embarrassing loss excuses for Richt that they did for Golden.

They all will discuss Saban's loss to La Monroe. Since it's the 1st year you're supposed to be awful. In fact you need to purposely try to be awful. If you try to be good you'll end up as Coker or Brady Hoke.

You guys act like ND has a bunch of scrubs over there. Their recruiting classes are probably just as high if not more highly rated than ours has been, they were obviously highly motivated to play us and they were at home. Should we have won? Absolutely. Does comparing ND to BC make any logical sense whatsoever? Absolutely not. You boys are just reaching now.

What is embarrassing, is how you can make a judgement on a coach after just 8 games ,who has consistently produced 10+ win seasons . You further embarrass yourself by comparing Richt to Golden and then comparing BC to ND.

Richt is Golden at this point in his career.

Needs a huge talent advantage to be competitive.

IMO, no, not even close.


The BC team was pretty sucky, ND underachieved all year, but has more talent. That BC game was ugly, the ND game was more frustrating than anything else, because this team can't overcome it's weaknesses to actually be any good.

People seem to be forgetting that the good years for Richt were from 2001-2006. The past 10 years for Richt has been nothing but mind numbingly, middle of the pack, mediocre football.

We hired this "rather be fishing" type ******* three coaches too late.

5 guys on that BC team got drafted to the league, including a potential future Hall of Famer at MLB

**** nah. I was at the game live and the offense played beyond trash and the defense didnt play with heart.Golden lost control of that team after miami self ban themselves from a bowl.
