Wanting Things Faster Under Richt....

We have seen such remarkable change for the better under Richt, in such a short time frame, that we're expecting him to recruit and win on the level of teams that have had their operations well established in SoFl and across the nation. I'm in the same boat, but I think we need to show just modicum of patience. Coach and his crew are out there rebuilding the fence, but there are so many well established enemy gorilla camps, we will suffer some recruiting casualties. Then it hit me, the difference between the recruits we have committed and have a strong chance of getting, are on par with other top programs-RIGHT NOW! That's remarkable! We must remember the success and attrition level for these recruits will also be a factor, not all these kids will meet expectations. Whereas other poachers in SoFl must accept and contend with the fact that there will be less available "top" talent for them as in the recent past. We know our success in recruiting in SoFl, the southeast and nationally will only improve. Our success in recruiting will have an effect of reducing the talent level on their rosters, thereby creating a equilibrium affect on rosters. On the field success is inevitable by The Canes and will drastically change things as a result of, better recruiting, coaching, development, training, philosophies, defense and organizational structure/strategies. No doubt we'll be vastly improved, but Coach Richt and staff need us to understand the battles they lose today will be won tomorrow.

It's about getting the job done. The job is winning. I expect him to do a lot of it immediately. The cupboard isn't exactly bare.

He has done just about everything right up to this point. He has a solid track record. He knows offenses, can recruit and develop QBs.

But it all comes down to getting the job done. The job is winning.....

Not trying be a **** OP. You have the best screen name on the board, but I chuckled reading your post. Reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Captain Ron. I hope this works, technology isn't a strength of mine...

Go Canes!

We know CMR and staff can coach...The true measure of going back on top will be when we get a better share of ESPN's top 300 players, not just kids who are from South Florida...The four teams, in the playoff series, last year had overwhelming numbers of the top 300, we didn't and we want be close this recruiting cycle...2018 seems to be the year...

Michigan state didn't have an overwhelming amount of anything. Their all American tackle was a **** walk on.

They are the epitome/ proof that coaching means everything and is really the heart of football.

Can't we just drop a kid in the camp and shoot the gorilla then we can make things happen faster? Is that what you're implying here?

Recruiting is a life or death thing but winning is salvation. Bobbie almost always out recruited JJ, thne jimmy beat his rear on the field. Like everyone I get upset with every recruiting loss. If Mark can coach we will win and win big. If he can't, he will not make up the difference with recruiting. Only Butch could have done that. I think Mark beats jimbo this year and it will be time to kick the tires and light the fires. His has the most valuable commodity in college football -- a 1st round NFL Miami QB. (That Dline coach doesn't hurt either.

I have no doubt richt is playing the long game here and is putting building blocks in place to win in the future. But make no mistake - that dude is cutthroat on the field and wants to win now and he knows that there's enough talent to do that this year. If he says otherwise, it's typical coachspeak.

You don't turn around 10+ years of mediocrity in 6 months
But in that time that Richt has been here their been a new dedication to football, an IPF on the way, Miami is gaining respect nationally and most importantly in South Florida again.

I meant to reference "guerrilla" a military term (LOL) with teams like fsu etc, being more firmly established with SoFl recruits than The U. We have to supplant them in our area.
