I think the run game has been really hitting its groove since he has moved back to fullback full time. I think his speed has allowed him to reach the linebackers and safeties allowing much larger running lanes than what we were seeing with regula in at fullback.

Next step is to get him more involved in short yardage and in the passing game....but he was very good tonight.

Really, really like what he brings to the table and wish we'd see him more in the flats. This team's offensive identity should be a lot simpler. We don't have to do so much. We have to do some things really well.

Goal line 3rd down handoff to Gus should have been a PA pass to Tucker in the flats. He would've walked in.

Correct me if I am wrong, didn't we use to actually run the FB a whole lot? Wasn't Highsmith a FB? Let's give that big fast kid the ball on a counter after fake stretch to Duke. Tucker might be in endzone before defense realizes Duke doesn't have the ball. Imagine trying to stop Duke when the other back might get the ball too.

Has been a very good lead blocker, would like to see him get some carries and receptions out of the backfield. Should have got the last few carries Duke got instead of putting him back in the game.

I'm not sure we were as much of a I Team back then. We might have run the split backfield more often, so you really had two RBs maybe instead of a FB and tailback. I guess we did both but in the Butch era and everything since then it seems we've used the up back, or fullback, more exclusively as a blocker. When Najeh was the FB I don't think he carried that much.

We should use him exactly how Coker/Chud used Najeh. Quick draws after the tailback motions out and flat & circle routes out of the backfield.
