FSU in 02?

Been a long time since we've had an undefeated team this late in the season in a rivalry game like this.

Tickets are $30 on StubHub still. We gona fill this place up or what???

Probably our biggest home game since VT in 2013.

We were 7-1 and with a win that night we would have probably won the coastal.

I was at that game and it was ugly.

Saturday I feel it'll be different

The FSU game last year? We were 4-0 and ranked #10 . I mean, it didn't turn out to be big since we lost 4 in a row, but at the time a lot of people thought we were back.

I was there too. Such a disappointment. Getting drenched was not worth it.

Given the trajectory of the program, it reminds me more of the stakes in the '98 UCLA home game. Someone mentioned the FSU game last year.

UCLA was a top ranked team and all that, but we needed some level of validation that we weren't imposters. Last year, the same.

To me, that's what Saturday's game is another opportunity to prove.

I think 2000 FSU matchup would be a better game to compare. 98 UCLA game came off that Syracuse game. Being at the Clemson game and the Cuse game, the Cuse game was much, much worse. In 2000, we had hype, but lost the only true matchup game we had against Washington. Hopefully the moment is too big for this team. Still feels more like 2013 than 99, 00

I thought about it, but I don't think the program is at the level of post FSU-2000 regardless of what happens this upcoming Saturday. I'm pumped either way.

I erased that game from my memory. 2010 against VT sucked too, I remember their stupid turkey climbing up into the stands after people started to leave.

Let’s get a repeat performance of this game

these are all good points fellas. If we win this week, next week will be the biggest since UM has been at Miami Gardens.

Biggest game since the 2002 MNC. This is the first time we have a chance to win something seemingly forever. We been pure dog poo for the last decade and this game puts us back in the elites in CFB. To me this game is enormous.

I get the feeling that this will be a very low scoring game. I haven’t been overly impressed with their offense and I am quite sure they would say the same about ours. I think we will need a special teams or defensive score to win this one. I’d also like to see us attack the middle of the field in the passing game with seam routes to the slot and Herndon or shallow crosses with Richards and Thomas. It just seems that we have had success utilizing the middle of the field.

Oklahoma 2009.

Is it though? We came in with a loss and were playing OU without their starting QB. 7-0 in a proxy coastal championship game down the home stretch has to be a bigger game than that

Once we win, then it will be Notre Lame is the biggest game since .... and so on. At this point they're all important.
