Although I wasn't alive at that time, I've watched almost every game from the 80s till current day. My pops tells me till this day that he believes Vinny threw that game away on purpose and was involved with a placed bet before the game. A nightmare of a game, can't count how many more titles we truly should have. We've been ****ed many times.

I do know about the accident he had but no one can say we didn't have things going our way enough to win that game. Vinny screwed us.

Just a tidbit. I've heard Vinny prior until his son transferring here, has not been around the program much for a long time and didn't even attend his own HOF induction to the school.

Something most people do not know:

In the locker room after the game, Jerome Brown and a few others had to be physically restrained from Kicking Vinny's ***.

I also blame Jimmy Johnson.....we had a great backup who would lead the Canes to a NC the next year.
