After three games of mostly plain vanilla offense I am very excited/intrigued about the potential of this offensive unit.
We have seen very little as far as the passing game is concerned (well executed bubble screens and SOME use of TE, and a few bombs on basic fly patterns).
We have yet to see use of the middle of the field, crossing patterns, screens, full use of RB catching passes etc but it is clear to me that we have the personnel:
1. Two very competent RB's that can run and catch.
2. An excellent FB that can block, catch and get tough yardage
3. Three receivers that are legit: Coley, Richards and Berrios (his catch on the sidelines vs App State was a reminder that he too can play)
4. Great Play calling by CMR even though still plain vanilla but he is pushing the right buttons.
5. Kaaya- can make every throw, not mobile but can throw and manage the offense at his disposal.
The key is the OL as they will finally get tested. IF they can protect and run the ball we will have a full ****nal at our disposal.
