Heupel would have been a great option immediately after Richt. However this massive failure by the AD has to rectified quickly with a huge name that quiets the fanbase. I have little doubt that in the BOTs mind, Mario Cristobal is a big name and hiring him would be considered a massive success. I'd prefer Leach or Miles but I would definitely breath easier if Cristobal was the coach next year.

These coaches, via their TV show, Radio Show, Speaking Engagements, and etc. round out their multi-million dollar salaries. Urban Meyer's Ohio State Contract is somewhere on the web. If you look at it, his base was only a million plus, but all of the other ancillary revenue rounded him up to almost $7 million. However, you bring up a valid point. I am curious how that all calculates in the buy-out scenario.
