How about an up and coming head coach?

I like Matt Campbell a lot. He's had 3 straight strong years at Iowa State, a traditional loser program. Almost any coach can have one strong year, but 3 straight strong years is something that needs to be taken seriously.

Because for 3 straight hires, we've brought in head coaches who would rather employ their family or butt buddies at the expense of our success than actually dedicating spots for qualified people.

What is a spread offense, anyway?

"Systems don't win championships"
Apparently ENOS has done this for 30 years and has atleast 1 championship... Oh wait...

We should probably explore the possibility that our HC is to blame. I mean, probably not, but let's just look into it.

does an oc come here when our coach looks like a dead man walking?
Offer enough money & they will.

The OC that can transform our offense will immediately become a hot commodity in college football & will get big offers at other programs.

Coaching is a big ego business, you give a coach a chance to make money & flex his muscles showing his ability to make something out of nothing & they'll take it every time.

What I love about Yost is not only his FB Knowledge, but the way he interacts with his kids, both on the field and off...and before anyone (and on CIS ya know their *** lurks) asks that "But can he relate to inner city kids"?? BS...Yes....he most certainly can and has aplenty....dont let that Surfer Boy Look fool you....

Answer me Fam why don't Manny see any of this and the exciting offense that's being played right in front of him.. and to think the product we just fielded was ok for him.. I'm at a loss for words.. and also why haven't alums stepped up yet?? While others schools like clemdump and sabaga and Lsuu steady competing for titles? Are our alums not proud of our university? Just saying no one is guiding Manny in the right direction especially in recruiting...

Have to believe that Manny has had detailed conversations about changes with whoever advises him (His father?). If Manny has decided to make a change at OC, I have to believe that his agent has already reached out to several folks he has in mind. You can't let the stuff make the media at this point so, the fact that we have heard nothing is not surprising and doesn't mean he hasn't started the process. We will know for sure right after the bowl game. Again, I'm not saying that Manny IS going to can Penos, just saying that if that is indeed his decision at this point, the wheels are already moving.

If firings have not commenced within 48 hours after the bowl game I'd say we're f^cked.
