I'm glad he's doing it. Dumb for him? Yeah. Dumb for the team? Yeah. You're being a salesman to kids. Easy right? They'll do what you tell them.

But until there are sacrificial lambs then false promises will always be made.

Future players will thank you!

Disclaimer: these are ******* kids. They aren't going to thank anyone.

I don’t know the full story but if they didn’t fulfill what they agreed on then im not mad at him for this.

Schools get away with giving false promises and just flat out lying to these kids with no consequences

I am surprised so many of you are taking this at face value. He was a qb at holy cross. His best offer was to unlv. Through three games they are ranked and undefeated. Now his NIL skyrocketed from scraps to probably a million for next yr. He wants more money, plain and simple. Its his last year

So just because he played three games he decided to redshirt because his NIL value went up…….. so what you are saying is that Cam Ward can hold out on Miami because we are 3-0 and he can ask for more money than we gave him because he’s clearly worth it? I’m confused? @canesupremacy

By doing this at the end of the redshirt window and after a big upset, it suggests to me he was either approached to transfer or is trying to capitalize on recent success. If it is truly a situation where promises weren’t kept, then I would expect him to sue.
