Off-Topic University of Miami Hurricanes Memorabilia Thread

A long overdue thread for all of us to post our favorite UM and Canes memorabilia thread...because some of us were discussing our collections over on the Loon board.

I will start with the UM cheerleader Barbie, still in the box (!), that I purchased in undergrad from the campus bookstore.

Don't have a picture but I knew Andre King and in 2000 I bought a white UM football and he got just about everyone to sign it for me. Gave it to my dad for Christmas.

We bring it out for the most important games.

I'll take a pic sometime later and post it, but in my office downstairs I have a football signed by the whole 2001 national championship team. Coaches too. It's in a case and my kid knows he is never, ever allowed to take it out.

I need plenty of ideas because I need to set up my game room. I can't justify the price tag for either of these, especially with an 8 foot ceiling.

I don't have a huge backyard, and I have other plans for the space as soon as I can take out my son's playset. I want to put a big pergola out there with an outdoor dining space next to the garden.

I don't really NEED the (wo)man cave though, with all the sports decor, because we already have a large living room and another family room area off the kitchen. And if I want, I probably could redo my office to make it happen (I don't work anymore), but it's right off the foyer and it has french doors so I don't really want to do orange and green right next to all the rest of my more transitional home decor.

I'm sure TOC will hate me for this, because he's fighting his wife on getting orange and green kitchen appliances, but I do have my limits.

A friend of mine has dealt in sports memorabilia for years. Goes to conventions several times a year to get signatures on some of the things he sells. He got me this a couple of years ago. Future NFL HOFer Frank Gore.
