University of Miami Giving Day - Wednesday October 12th

I know a lot of people are in a bad mood right now, but I just wanted to remind everyone that the University of Miami Giving Day is TOMORROW, Wednesday, October 12th.

You can contribute in any amount and you can direct your contribution to any particular program of your choosing.

The reason I am bringing this to the CIS boards is that it looks like the "matching funds" will be unlocked by hitting benchmarks for the NUMBER of donors, not just the AMOUNT of the donations.

So if you can, please make a contribution tomorrow. No pressure, no guilt, no expectations.

Just wanted to post this friendly reminder.

Even though not an alum, I do all I can to support the university. I buy as much of my gear and game tix through the Canes website and contribute as much as possible.

If not for Bascom-Palmer, my sister would be blind today. The University of Miami is much more than just the football team.
 
It appears there is no way to donate specifically to the football program. One can only designate the money for the Athletic Department.

And just to point out, that's an "average" contribution of $1,000.00

Now, I'm sure that the $1 million bump helped out, but still. Even without the millie, we are still talking about a nice average donation for some random "middle of October one-day event".

I split mine up between UM Law, the B-School, and Athletics.
