Uniforms vs fsu

Post from All Canes

Word on the street is that the ‪#‎MiamiHurricanes‬ are rocking the all SMOKE look on Saturday for ‪#‎FloridaState‬ and will debut the new orange helmet.
Now before traditionalists, old-schoolers and fossils get their caps twisted back, this is what the PLAYERS want, which is what it's all about.
So much jersey-related banter from fans, consumers and a ton of folks twice or three times the age of this team.

Fact is the college game has changed and both players and recruits eat up these new looks—so for a nationally-televised game-of-the-week and a packed house with Miami's biggest recruits in attendance, this is a much better option than the standard white helmet, orange top and white pants most of us are used to seeing at home over the years.

If Duke, Denzel, Brad, Shane, Phillip, Clive, et al want to rock this look (re: which the elder McDermott said was his fave during the recent ESPN All Access segment)—by all means, support the choice and let's get these kids jacked up for what will be a
n explosive environment come Saturday night.

It's not about you ... it's all about The U. ‪#‎BeatFSU‬

There horrible no matter what and we haven't won when we wear this goofy crap and I'm in my 20's and I just like the classic helmets **** looks like the Syracuse Orangemen wtf!!!!!! Just venting bro!!!!! At the end of the day I just wanna Win!!!!

The 2000-2003 uniforms were pretty **** goofy by that era's standards. We stopped wearing orange pants. Green became much more prevalent in the color scheme. For some reason it didn't affect the players at all.

We definitely wore orange pants/ white jerseys during that period.

We stopped wearing orange pants for some of that period. We got the new unis in 2000 and went without orange pants from 2000-2003 when we broke them out against FSU in the rain game. We wore green or white pants from 2000-2003, and then brought back the orange in 2003.

We brought them back in the 2003 rain game against FSU with white shoes. Didn't wear them from 2000-2002 at all.

..yall kill me. Its 2014, the traditional helmet will always be our default helmet but it doesnt hurt to wear the other ones during some of the games either. Recruits love new uniforms and more importantly our players do too. They put alot of hard work in the offseason so they can wear whatever they want too. Their decision shouldnt be judged by people living in the past..... nostalgia at its best smh...
