UNC to suspend 13 football players

Wow, UNC at its finest again. They just can’t seem to keep themselves out of the negative public eye can they? Who the **** would pay $2,500 for shoes? This better mean we roll them hard this year. It better be something like 40-7 or close; there’s no reason why we don’t destroy them this season.

So basically they were getting paid by boosters. It's like a "no selling beer" policy, so you sell peanuts and every bag comes with a free beer. I give you a ****** pair of used cleats and you give me $2500.

UNC is really dirty.

UNC to suspend 13 football players for selling sneakers. Who pays $2500 for sneakers? There's more to this story.

athlete-exclusive sneakers are no joke on the secondary market. the miami ultraboosts from a few years ago start at around $2700 for sizes between 8 and 12. unc has exclusive jordans so they're insanely valuable. i doubt this is booster-related at all.

nah just selling team-issued gear (exclusive jordan colorways). no shady booster stuff this time. as much as i'd love for that dirtbag program to get more heat, this is like aj green selling his bowl jersey.

UNC Jordan's or Oregon Jordan's, any team ultraboosts all go for top dollar.

There QB is one of the suspended players. I wonder how they will look without him.

This is the difference between Alabama and everybody else.

Alabama has the discipline, and the closed-mouth environment, to get away with this. They’ve perfected it.

They teach their players to stay quiet and how to get their money without getting caught. Also, they are isolated and insulated in their little redneck town.

But either way, fūck that scumbag Fedora. I hope we bury their sorry asses. In any event, this is probably his last year there.

I’m about to sell a pair of pigeons I fought for $200 over a decade ago for 10k. Sneaker game is crazy.

They are all suspended for 4 games or less. We play them in the 5th game.

very true plus they have the bankers and UA lawyers to keep everything aligned. It's a perfect storm for them. Until Mark Emmert is relieved as NCAA prez. nothing will happen to them, unfortunately.

They’re not perfect, as I’m sure you realize - that was the tip of the iceberg. Just like that whole thing with that clothing/suits seller in town that was giving away thousands of dollars of free suits and clothes to players just a few years ago.

So when they make their minor little errors like you mentioned, any slight faux pas, you’ve got Saban’s buddy Emmert and the NCAA looking the other way or just helping them to cover it up. So either way, they’re covered.

But they do a lot more than they show, and they’re pretty disciplined about it.
