Washington DC with the College Protection Act that they are trying to pass which would prohibit movement to another conference unless you became an independent for 3 seasons first.

Look guys if you have time this is a very worthwhile to listen to.

Miami, FSU and Clemson (maybe UNC) has their plan in place to be Independent if the PATC passes the way it is with the 3 year requirement for independence to change conferences.

Amazon is the partner and they are willing to overpay for them to be independent. Their goal is to get into college football and become a future partner with FOX and ESPN in the future….maybe Netflix as well.

Translation…..ND wants Miami, FSU, Clemson and others stuck in the ACC to keep their scheduling agreement viable and in place. Now they know that doesn’t work for Miami and others because they want into the P2…..so the walls are closing in.

ND will be forced into negotiating for a scheduling agreement elsewhere if the AVC falls apart. They may be a part of the scheduling agreement the SEC and B1G are working on if they want to maintain their independence.

The next TV contract for the SEC and B1G may force ND to join a conference any way because they could fall too far the $$$ those conferences are making in the future.

He couldn’t wait till after the season to say this? What the benefit of putting this out now.
Have you heard of Congress?
Yes and heard enough to know, that senators and representatives from Florida all voted against this bill. Also there is literally an amendment from the senator from Florida limiting the time teams have to be out of conference. Do you understand my point or are you just disagreeing. Everybody knows Miami wants to leave the ACC and everybody knows they want to go to the SEC or the big ten. My point is he could have said this via press release or leaked to the press. Having your school president call
Out your conference in the middle of the season when they are known to literally cause us games is not a good idea. This could be nothing I just don’t want to give this lame conference any more reason to **** on us.

It is absolutely a completely necessary idea to make sure that everyone who’s still trying to get this bill passed understands that they’re not saving the ACC either way and it’s also there to get the Big Ten moving. I completely vehemently disagree with your opinion on it being the bad time to do it it’s exactly the time they need to do it.

Buddy we are arguing semantics. You don’t understand what I’m saying so why reply. I don’t want this to affect us on the field of the ongoing season. Everything he said was already known. ****ting on a conference in the middle of season is not a good look. He could have simply left it’s unamerican to limit upward progression. He literally **** ACC it’s ****** and we can’t wait to leave. Other people on this thread have made this same point and you don’t seem to have a problem with it. Is it the bipolar part that bothers you buddy?

He had to make it known now with the intense pressure from government to push this act that will handicap us indefinitely.

I don’t disagree with any of that. My only issue is him basically ****ting on the ACC and saying we can’t wait to leave this *****. maybe it’s my conspiracy theory and paranoid mind thinking that can say the petty ACC to say **** UM any 50/50 call goes against them. It’s probably nothing. Maybe I should have specify I have no problem with his quote just the ACC part.
