The upshot:

Blake James hinted at changes when speaking to The Athletic after the game: “We need to get better now, and I know Mark and our coaches are aware of that and I’m confident they will make the changes needed to put us in the best position to win our remaining games.”

Article also mentions the QB coach being a detriment and the obvious lack of offensive scheming.

If a banner takes flight, it needs to bring attention to Jon so the media starts to talk about it. Its the ONLY way a banner will make a difference. No point in talking about firing Richt or wanting Butch. That isn't happening. Bringing national media attention to Jon though.. That puts a lot of focus & pressure on the right people.

The problem with coker is he fired a lot of really good coach’s to save his own rear end, when the problem was him from the start. I thank him for getting out of Dorsey’s and Reeds way and letting them guide us the a championship in 01 but he was in way over his head after that and it showed in 02 when he got out coached by tressel. It was Coker that needed to go and instead he fired good coaches and hired worse ones. Hopefully Richt does the right thing and fires his QB and online coach and hires a real innovative OC. I’m praying he does!

The most frustrating part is the lack of accountability from Richt, especially in the post game comments. He’s either naive or dumb

Richt loses any benefit of the doubt when he made his uber unqualified son the QB coach

****, I bet there are more qualified GA’s on this team than LilJon

It's completely baffling how Richt can't or won't see what everyone else sees. This is so Goldenesque. Jon needs to be removed this season just to calm the natives and maybe Richt hands over the play calling as well until he's forced to hire a competent OC, OL and QB coach when the season is over.

And honestly Richt is not really doing him a favor. He’s looked out for him long enough. Richt has tons of connections at all level of CFB. He’s taught Jon everything he possible can at this point. Get him a job somewhere else and let him make his own way. Keeping him around is keeping him locked into a nothing role with no name for himself.

Richt doesn't give a **** about STs.
That's been his entire career... he isn't going to change now....
...maybe we get lucky with someone with an aggressive passion for ST as we replace a position coach..
 
We have a lot of big issues but the biggest ones are QB coaching, OC play calling and Ofensive Line coaching and as a consequence our recruiting will become trash like the previous staff. Richt post game comments were stupid at best

I think Richt will make the correct decision on QB.

He’s got 2 weeks of game film and 2 weeks of L’s to show #12. It’s not personal. In fact, he gave #12 every chance to take/keep the job.

It’s over. Time to move on.

Where we go is the major question. 2 immature 2nd-year QBs and a true frosh is not an ideal scenario.

Word is, lil Richt hates Malik (not personally) and has continuously lobbied for Perry to get pt from the start. Not defending lil Richt, but Malik would make any qb coach look bad.

Anyway, I agree w the post regardless. I get the feeling Richt would resign rather than fire his own son. From his mentor Bobby to Lou Holtz, these coaches will tell you one of their biggest regrets was firing their progeny.

exactly. my friend said you would see coker at practice on the sidelines chatting with players while the position coaches were running practice.
he said when butch was there, butch was watching over every thing like a hawk.
