Overreaction: Miami must fire Al Golden. Now.

Why: The frustration among the Miami fan base is completely understandable. Going 6-7 at Miami is never acceptable, especially given the talent on the 2014 roster. Losing four games to end the season is never acceptable. We could go on, but you get the point. We can all agree that this past season failed to meet everybody’s standards. But the vitriol and negativity surrounding Golden have reached nuclear levels in South Florida. The cupboard is not bare here, far from it. Given the NCAA sanctions cloud that lingered over Miami for more than two years, Golden deserves another shot at getting the Canes pointed in the right direction. Brad Kaaya looks better than any quarterback Miami has had since Ken Dorsey. Despite losing Duke Johnson and Clive Walford, the Canes return a bevy of skill players across the board, including Joe Yearby, Stacy Coley and Braxton Berrios. Defensively, there are high hopes for improvements on the line, and the secondary has a chance to be even better. Although the Canes took some tough losses this past season, they showed against Florida State how well they can play when they have the heart, desire and motivation to win. Golden must now get his players to give that type of effort every weekend. Because the talent is there -- talent Golden brought into Miami when there were serious doubts about the program’s future.

ESPN posted this article, I swear someone is paying the media to say things like this. Is it me or am I the only one at the point of just pulling my hair and just beg for them to fire this UM coach (don't want to say his name)? I want to throw up so bad after reading this garbage.

Golden can sell it to the media, he sure isn't selling his message to recruits anymore and the win-loss record is trending down.

Of Course ESPN would post something like this, they are in the bed w/ the SEC. The further we are away from being the U, the better it is for business for them.

Excuses are for losers.

Win. Get the job done. No other coach whines more than Folden. No other fanbase is full of as many retards that accept the excuses.

I've had enough. Burn Folden at the stake. Hopefully the new president is the military guy. Round up the Hecht and put em in front of a firing squad. Start over.

Someone should explain to her that if you win the lottery the first thing you do is not go out and spend it all cause then you have no platform for the future. She's basically saying " Look at that guy! He has a Ferrari so he must be rich and know how to drive really fast!" No actually he just stubbornly played the lotto every week till he lucked out, spent what skills/resources (great hair, big binders, etc) he had on the car but it's stuck in the driveway cause it's a manual and he doesn't know how to shift past first gear. Driving around town in first all the time sounds great from far away till people see you only going 15 mph and after a couple years the car breaks down cause he couldnt take care of it and ya got no money left. But she can't see past the Ferrari in the driveway.

National media seems to not have a real pulse for wtf is going on down here. If it's true that nobody likes Golden in the Hect, then things are pretty bad

Who wrote that crap, Al's mommy? This year was Al's extra give him a chance one more year. He failed miserably while showing not one ounce of willingness to adapt or change. We has failed in totality and deserves only a ticket out of town.

That article forgot to mention that we had 10 or 11 draft picks and went 6-7 and that we routinely were outcoached and out-schemed in the 2nd half of games.

Paying the media to say things like this? Yeah, that must be it. I have a better explanation- the media is correct and the few hundred malcontents who continue to call for Golden's head are wrong.

What makes these articles so funny is the fact that EVERYTHING is put on the kids as if the coaches have no say/responsibility at all in why/how the team loses. Defensively, there are high hopes for improvements on the line, and the secondary has a chance to be even better <------ What does that even mean? The secondary, athletically, was the best in the acc, imo. But they failed mostly due to being put in bad position. So what is a "chance" to be better if youre not put in place to be better? As if the kids can just train harder this offseason, get put in the same crap positions and be better players cuz they worked on it.

"they showed against Florida State how well they can play when they have the heart, desire and motivation to win"

No, we showed that IF THE COACHES call aggressive gameplans then this team is scary good. and if we call the dogs off and act puzzy then we play like puzzy.

The media just wants to absolve golden of all blame. just like the slurpers. Which makes sense,,, because 90% of the media and slurpers know NOTHING about football and recruiting bases.

heather Dinich probably wrote that article. neither her or adelson have a clue whats going on from a schematic standpoint.

Most people couldnt even tell you the responsibility of a corner in a cover two defense. They couldnt even tell you what the real difference in a 4-3/4-2-5 is but they want to argue with you about whether Golden will succeed or not based on EVERYTHING but his gameday coaching.

The guy is **** near great at everything about coaching but.... out smarting another coach on gameday.

Which is truly sad and telling. Cuz you dont even have to be a sabanmeyer to win big here.
