Josh Pate had Miami to cover as one of his best bets of the week.
Don’t shoot the messenger.
Yup. We’re winning on the stat sheet but not on the scoreboard.

That happens to any team every once in a while, but it’s abnormal to be a reoccurring theme week to week.
My point is, eventually it’s all going to click in some of these games down the stretch and people are going to be wondering how we lost a few games.
100%. If we can ever figure out the red zone, and we also stop shooting ourselves in the foot constantly with penalties or drops, we’ll be tough out for any team except Clemson.Yeah, agree, but still have apprehension because this is happening virtually every week. You have to think there has to be some regression to the mean and we need to perform on the scoreboard to how we perform on paper, but it's frustrating.

I don’t think creativity on a wide scale is a learned trait. I think as a coordinators you have it or you don’t. When I watch other teams I see creativity in both the pass and run gameDrops have been better since the first couple games. And penalties, as frustrating as last week was, is a "one off" at this point. We were the least penalized team in the conference coming into the VT game.
The redzone struggles are real and a trend, however. I see zero creativity down there whatsoever. Honestly, with all the warts this team has, I truly believe we're 6-0 if we just have above average redzone efficiency. But, you are who you are down there, and the inefficiencies have cost us multiple games, plain and simple.
