One of the things that jumps out is this:

No Alonzo Highsmith, no Michael J. Irvin. That's just criminal. Jimmy Johnson or Schnelly should be there on General F**king Principle alone! Bernie's there, but you get the impression that that's just a nod to the team. A Rod's there because of his money. Period.

But the Eighties Canes brought untold wealth to the University, and extraordinary honors, and the result? A Board of Trustees that looks like the Deed Restricted Country Club in Caddyshack.
