He was a victim of Shalala's PC mania..... he would have thrived as DC under any HC after Clappy. Instead he was thrown into a position he was never qualified for, all because DS was out to push her PC agenda. He would have thrived at the U under Gary Patterson or the Pirate...

He still would've had to change his Defensive Philosophy....No way on Earth would he have run his Defense at UM...the same under Patterson...Forget it....The Defense that he ran in 2001 was successful because of the Savages that we had....He didn't have that type of talent when he became HC....and he certainly didn't help himself by ****ing off a plethora of HS HCs that weren't at MNW and BookerT....

Only reason Onion even became a DC in 2001, was because of the departure of Schiano and Pagano...If Greg or for that matter Pagano stay....Randy ain't nothing more than a LBers coach...When Schiano left for Rutgers, he left before the 01 Dismantling of UF in the Sugar Bowl...enabling Pagano to be named DC for that game...
