Remember when a lot of UM fans wanted Chip Kelly and DTR was a huge recruiting miss at QB?

Doesn't look like it's working out too well.

Where’s Jagr?

That program is dead

Wanted to start a thread asking how it is possible for a Chip Kelly offense to be so bad

They're a complete dumpster fire. 0 chance Chip makes it past next season. They are not improving anytime soon.

I'm sure there's some other flavor of the month porsters will be bonering after this season.
the O cord of Clwmson, but when he goes elsewhere if he doesnt adapt there recruiting he will be let go in 4 years. U can be banging on the x and O's but when u dont have the same athletes your in a world of trouble

Which oc for clemson? They got 2 of them.
I have no idea whoever the fuq is calling there plays, i changed it at 21-0 and was like someone will want whoever is calling plays there eventually. My thing is he better adopt Clemsons recruiting cause they wont win with jags where ever he goes.

I don't remember "a lot" of people wanting Chip Kelly—but a segment of the fan base did.

The logical fan knew that an offensive "guru" that coached well at Oregon wouldn't translate well to a defensive-minded program like Miami and all that comes with coaching "The U".

Same kind of people that wanted Mike Leach before that; not realizing that Leach's weird schtick is tailor made where he fell in Pullman, but wouldn't have played for five minutes in Coral Gables. That whole cutesy schtick of him hanging in the Keys sure as sh*t didn't make him the next Jimmy Johnson.

Which fans wanted Chip Kelly??

I never liked that dude, extremely arrogant & incredibly overrated.

All his players have ended up hating his guts at every stop he was at since leaving Oregon.

I remember people ****ing their pants thinking he might go to UF after they fired McEltooth, but I was one of the main ones on here saying he wouldn't go to UF & if he did he would be a major fail because he doesn't recruit at all & his scheme is old now.

Most of college football has caught up to his system, it's no longer the flashy unstoppable toy it was when it first hit the scene.

Word out here is that he's not exactly the hardest working recruiter, either.

And yeah, his system is now like the Atari 2600 by 1989

He absolutely HATES recruiting, he's never liked it even at Oregon, he mostly loaded up on underrated 3-star kids from Cali, Utah, Washington & Hawaii. He captured lightning in a bottle at Oregon because he had that Phil Knight money backing him.

Chip is one of those extremely arrogant coaches that thinks his schemes supersedes talent, he doesn't believe in Jimmy's & Joe, just X's & O's, but the problem is that only works when the X's & O's are something that DC's haven't seen before. Chip's Offense has had almost a decade of film for people to see how it functions & operates, every DC knows exactly what plays are coming.

The ironic part is, the Chip Kelly Offense really only works when you have good Jimmy's & Joe's. You need an elite QB, with very good OL's & a speedster RB to make it work at its optimum level, but because Chip doesn't think recruiting is all that important he'll never have that at UCLA.

Whats interesting is that tonight there wasn't any quick tempo, so that aspect is not even there anymore.

and I'll be honest, DTR, looks very erratic and Im not sure that they have a guy over there who can help him develop his mechanics and teach him the finer points of being a QB

Cincy really did control that game, they should have won by more in my view
