Watching him tonight. Athletic freak. Shoots out of a cannon off the snap and chased down prey.

With Mark Richt and hopefully a great D coordinator, most of the recruiting board just opened back up

What's up with your boy Shavar Manuel?

He has been infected with SEC disease..FSU not even on top anymore... I blame J Rock...

So, J Rock is now a rich man?

I was at the game.

Uche did very well and has a lot of potential, he wasn't going to fill out the stat sheet with Columbus sending 4 all game at Kato. What you can see is his first step, burst, and motor. The kid is relentless. What you don't see (this where someone will be getting a steal) is his ability to cover. I think he's a 3 down LB at the next level, that can: Blitz, play the run, cover in zone (LULZ Golden made this look hard when it's actually really easy), and cover WRs/TEs in man. Columbus played a lot of quarters, and cover-3, without much blitzing. He would beat his man 1v1 or forced a lot of holding calls on Flanagan, but Kato was just too elusive. Kato led Champagnat to a state championship 2 years ago, and he's likely to win another one.

Trajan Bandy was the best corner in the game. They didn't throw at him, except for bubble screens where he did a very good job of shedding blocks and making tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He's very physical, but is also a very good in coverage (explosive and has good ball skills). Columbus normally plays a lot zone, and their kids come ready to play year 1. He plays for the SFE, so he's being coached by Sam Madison and Patrick Surtain, during the off-season. He already has an offer from Bama and other top schools.

2018 commit Josh Jobe, has been moved from safety to corner after Columbus lost one of their starting corners for the entire season. He had a rough night and blew coverage a few times. He had a 50+ yd run on a reverse where he showed decent long speed. He's tall, has long arms and is very physical. Had a penalty for leveling the qb after he went out of bounds. I've heard that he's already 17, so he might not be able to play his senior season. From what I've seen, he's gong to be bigger than Deon, but is nowhere near as explosive. Deon's athleticism was glaring, even as a freshman. His future is at safety, and as of now it's not in single high.

Guy Thomas may have a lot of ability, but he doesn't even start. His brother, Fabian, starts at MLB and will likely play D1, but he's not UM caliber.

One thing that this class is missing is a safety with range. Deon's gone and Jenkins will be in has final season. Not sure if they have to move a corner like Jackson-Kerr, but its a necessity that will bring us versatility to our playcalling.

DE commitment Joshua Uche indicated he may decommit.

"Staying in Miami isn't really my thing," he said
