Trickery....... that failed!

That was glorious! I was driving to a friend's house and was on the phone getting a play by play from another friend who isn't a Cane fan(He's an NFL diehard). He's like "Oh wow they tried to run this trick play and this kid made an awesome interception!" I said who picked it off? He says #13! I'm like yeah that's a true freshman his name is Bryce Fitzgerald! Then next play the Canes run he's still doing play by play. He goes "Okay handoff...Oh no it's a Fleaflicker! He's got a guy open.....Touchdown Miami! I'm like who scored? He's like #10! I say that's another true freshman. His name is Malachi Toney!!!!! Right there is when I pulled into my friend's driveway. I was so pumped up!

Went to the dark side and read the 247 FSU recap of the game. The buffoon who authored the article used that play as an example of a breakdown in execution, not as a failed ruse.

I stopped at that moment realizing I’d satisfied by desire to ingest stupidity.
There's a lot of journalists that, the only way I can explain it, is they're watching the game in a different language than they understand and the commentators are their translator. Reece saying Tiny Tommy wasn't ready for the snap and saying the play was sloppy is the only way they can comprehend what happened. They can't actually watch what's happening on the field and comprehend what they're seeing. Either that, or the little ******* are doing everything they can to not give Miami credit. Both are equally possible imo.

It’s because those doofus’s in the booth, never played the ******* game. They all sound the same.

Agree. I give Reece a bit of a pass since it’s in the moment and who knows what’s going on in that moment in a national broadcast. Time to evaluate and look back and still not get it is ridiculously stupid.

You know you can just watch the game on your phone… for free, right?

But also, that dudes not a good friend. A good friend would’ve had you believing Miami inexplicably gave away 3 scores.

I saw FSU run this in one of their earlier games (Bama maybe?) and was sure they would try this again vs us. Looks like our coaches saw this on film too and had our guys prepared for it. The d-line in particular looked ready for it because they exploded off the line as soon as the ball was snapped

Chris Fowler

But I couldn’t believe that even on replay Herbstreit didn’t notice the second clap that clearly indicated it was intentional.

Sorry, constant reliance on trickery & gadgets are for undermanned teams. FSU shouldn’t be in this position. Their sinking to this level is crazy.
Gadget plays are the centerpiece of their offense and their fans rush the field after wins. FSU is now a mid-major program.
