Telling people the sfla kids don’t stay home narrative is just a lie people repeated for years, we actually have over recruited sfla

Get the right ones and build the national brand, Georgia/DMV/Carolinas/Bama & Mississippi, of course Texas & Louisiana but the home teams have a strong hold there especially texas cause it’s like 3-5 schools u fighting in state

It’s not a lie when we’re talking can’t miss elite types, they almost never come to Miami last one we got was Duke. They always end up @ Bama/OSU/UGA etc. we got our fair share of SFL recruits just not the Elite ones

Did we recruit Avery Young? Guy was a freak of nature. I was a year under him at gardens

James williamis, LT, chad thomas, tracy howard, donaldson, nesta, blades jr, chaney, artie, bain, , njalik, coley..this is just random names i thought of that were elite recruits in the country and the best players down here, there is more top sfla players we landed that are still on the roster right now

We definitely missed on some as well but we got a bunch of the best players down here they just didn’t live up to the hype, or we didn’t have the right development & culture for them to thrive

Most of them were good players for us but most of our fans only respect and remember guys who become nfl stars because thats what we can brag to other fans about

Some of Those guys were good/great players for the U fasho, i agree we've landed some 5stars & get alot of the top talent down here over the years i should've clarified i meant the 'cant miss'' types. for the record I dont qualify Cooper or Russell as "cant miss" prospects personally but thats just my opinion. They both are great/elite talents but they'll need to develop into their 5 star rating

Yea i agree, the cant miss guys are rare so i feel like the miss is a bigger impact than what the full picture says. Like if we landed pat p dalvin jj type guys it changes alot perception wise which is important with kids and fans

A Miami team with duke,Sony Michel,Alex Collin’s at RB,an Amari cooper,Stacy Coley,Calvin Ridley, isaih McKenzie,Calloway at wider receiver, and Lamar Jackson or flowers at QB Al golden might of still have a job at Miami 😂

Al Golden maxed out at 7 wins at temple with a team full of partial qualifiers who would have been at Michigan and OSU if their grades had been together.

Golden would have found a way to waste this group just like he did the group he had.

While I’m inclined to agree with you. It’s gonna be hard to build a national board when you can’t even keep the best local kids here.

The issue isn’t that we aren’t recruiting South Florida it’s that we are missing out on the top guys time after time for the last 10-15 years. Whether that be a 5* all world guy or we under evaluated and miss a 3* guy who ends up behind an NFL player.

Lamar alone could’ve saved him a few years. We could’ve had Dalvin Cook on those teams too but FSU stole him away and people would argue that Yearby was better which obviously proved to be wrong. Not even dogging Yearby he was an okay player here but Cook could’ve been a program changer.
