Top 5 Miami Football Teams of All-Time. Do you agree with this list?

Why even waste time..we've had so many

How great are you when there's not much to choose from even when comparing our TOP 10 BEST teams.

The only thing most generally agree on is 2001 was the best.....and that's far from unanimous
 
That is a **** of a list, but we have some unbelievable 1 loss teams, too, that could go toe to toe with these.

The only reason one can claim that was because it was the first championship. 1986 only lacked one thing but it was a biggy. But if you lined them up against each other, 1986 wins 9 out of 10 times. The only team that would play even with them is 2001.

Well that is good reason. As I stated, other teams may have had more talent, but the 83 team proved itself by beating a team that many
considered one of the best of all time. A national championship and being in the history books qualifies as a great team, not necessarily
the most talented. But you will get no argument from me on the talent of the 86 and 01 teams.

That list makes me sad...it’s been so long since we’ve had an outstanding football team! Please Lord help us!!!

Same with the 1990 team. We were the best team in the country by a mile by the end of the season.

Part of greatness is who you beat and how great were they. '83 team what was labeled by all as the team of the century. NE was putting up basketball scores that year. Heisman and Outland Trophies plus bunch of 1st round picks. We we double digit underdog from school that had never won crap. Our later teams were more like NE was that year -- supposed to bet the crap out of everyone. We had great team lose NCs they should have won but never another win one they should have loss.

Here is my take. give me the 83 team in Miami unis against any of our other teams some other uniforms, go back to 1983 OB game with all players at college age, and I put 5 digit money on '83 just like it did then. It would the a dog again and our other teams wold be all up on themselves. They would each suffer the same fate as the Cornhuskers.

The talent on the 86-91 teams was as good as it gets. Take a minute to look at those rosters, all were pretty strong squads. The 2000-2002 teams had AAs, pro bowlers and HOFs, great teams also. A lot to pick from. One year we beat 6 conference champions, too old to remember!

That's simply not true...this coming from someone who Idolized Howard...and is close friends with a Starter on that team...
****...that 81 UM team would give 83 all they could handle...
